Whole lot a theology, not enough Oxford!

Currently Reading
Systematic Theology

So it has now been over a year since I have posted on this site.  I realize that most people are using Live Journal, but honestly it is harder to bounce back and forth between sites there so I am choosing xanga as my way of keeping in touch with you kids.

Trace is working at Cracker Barrell, which she worked at in High School in Tupelo (she made great tips back then, so we will see if the same is true in Jackson).  Married life is great and real life is starting to sink in with her working and school being in full swing.

Well School is hard, but that is good makes me keep on top of it (I have never kept up with the reading like I am doing now, partially because I have a quiz in two of my classes every time we meet).  I'm taking Systematic Theology III, Pauline Epistles, History of Christianity II, Crisis Situations and Family Psychology & Theology B.  We have our final exam on Monday in Family Psy which is why I am not going up to Oxford right now with Trace (she is making a 24 hour turn around trip).  I'm starting to meet some people in my classes and that is pretty cool, though most of them are M Div (masters of divinity) and as of Tuesday I was accepted into the Marriage and Family Therapy program (starting in the fall).

We miss Oxford and I was really looking forward to coming up and getting a drink with some of you kids, but alas that will have to wait until another weekend.  I will definitely be up there for Double Decker.  I will be posting on here more regularly (hey Melissa, told you I would post and I have, not sure if this constitutes the same week I said I would).  Take care all.  Write back so I can get an idea if anyone is reading these things anymore.

YAY!! you are back!

Ps, I kind of felt like I was reading some of my past posts when I was reading this. Hooray for seminary life! :) Hug my daddy for me if you see him if that wouldn't be too awkward.

hey Jay! I was really upset that I didn't make it your wedding due to family things, but I have your present that I need to get to you! I guess I'll just wait until we move back...tell Trace hello for me please! I'll be in Oxford again, in school and serious this time, so you'll both have to visit as much as you can!! Scott's brothers live in Jackson, so we're down there a lot (when we're home) - we need to take out for a dinner or something since we weren't able to make it to the wedding!

Take care! Miss you lots, and good luck with everything!

Jay, hang in there man.  I think you will be great in the Marriage and Family Therapy program.

I'm graduating this May with my masters in a whole lot of theology.  I guess its worth it in the end.  I mean, I'm going to be the curator/director of a new art gallery/music venue in Lousiville, so I'm really putting to use my degrees in music and theolgy... Ha! Ha!

Alex and I might come to Oxford Double Decker weekend too.  I think I still have your phone number, so I'll try to get in touch.  Hopefully, we'll see you and Trace soon!
